As Calgary and area wedding photographer I am always super excited about getting out of the city for a day and enjoying a beautiful wedding outdoors. This wedding was just that and so much more with C&G.

The wedding took place on a gorgeous property in Priddis, with horses all around us, and nicely crafted handmade wedding decorations. The moment I took out my camera that day I knew this wedding would be a blast to shoot. The guys wore wicked awesome suspenders, almost made them look like they came out of an older era, and the girls wore an eclectic array of boho inspired gowns all different but in the same colour. The moment the ceremony kicked off the bride rode in on a horse, yes a real horse!!! how cool is that. It was like straight out of a fairytale because her dress draped over the side and she looked like a princess. When she got off the horse and joined her dad she finally got to meet her groom. G was just smiling from ear to ear and you can just feel the love between those two radiate like a hot summers sun. The ceremony was just so cute, and a couple of times we had the horses join in on the i-do’s. Once the ceremony was over we than got in a few vehicles and drove out to the picture taking spot.

The spot was right up on a hill overlooking a valley with mountains in the background. I seriously wanted to cry thats how gorgeous the scenery was in front of me. Not only that when I started working with the couple it was if I wasn’t there and honestly thats how I like it, I loved that they could interact with each other and all I had to do was just shoot the pictures. The chemistry between these two was just unbelievably natural like their surroundings, made my work extremely easy. We had a good hour up there taking some different variations and poses on the mountainside and than it was time to get back and get to the party.
