This is my second Calgary newborn photography session and I couldn’t be more excited to dive into this side of things. Photoshoots such as these work so much differently than at a wedding’s because mainly nothing is in my control. I work at the mercy of the baby, and if the little one isn’t in the mood for pictures that particular day than good luck. Luckily our baby S was in a great mood and was sound asleep when I arrived.

It was my first time meeting Baby S and her parents. I was introduced through a mutual contact of ours, the momma’s sister who gifted these photos for her. It was such a pleasure working with these two and their beautiful little daughter. Baby S was sound asleep when I arrived so we put her on a chair wrapped in a throw to make her a little bit more comfortable. I started clicking away and halfway through the photo shoot Baby S woke up and showed off her beautiful big eyes. We got to take some of her with her eyes open as well as closed, giving the photos a nice variety.

I am so thankful and happy to have shot this really private affair and capture the first moments of Baby S’s life.
